Quality and Accountability - Vizient
Vizient has released its annual Quality & Accountability Study rankings of hospital quality and performance. We are pleased to share that, once again, BJC hospitals performed exceptionally compared to national peers. Specifically, six BJC hospitals performed in the top quartile of their peer group and two of those finished in the top decile nationally!
The annual Vizient rankings are based on a series of metrics, including mortality, safety, patient experience, readmissions, efficiency, and health equity. There is very close alignment to our BJC Clinical Excellence Scorecard. Attached is more detailed information on the methodology and metrics included. This year’s rankings largely used data from July 2022 through June 2023.
Progress West Hospital ranked #46 in the Community Hospital cohort.
